‘JourneyKit’ coaching
The JourneyKit is a proprietary, four-pillar executive coaching framework developed by Dónal O'Mahony, designed to help senior professionals navigate career transitions, leadership challenges, pivots and AI disruption.
The Four Core Pillars
1. Compass (Current State Assessment) A baseline evaluation of the client's immediate professional reality. This pillar maps the individual's current role, energy levels, personal well-being, and operational constraints to establish an objective starting point. Tools utilized include the Wheel of Life and baseline strengths snapshots.
2. Origins (Historical Career Mapping) A structured retrospective of the client's career trajectory. This pillar identifies historical highs, lows, and repeating behavioral patterns. It leverages cognitive-behavioral coaching techniques to identify and challenge limiting beliefs that hinder professional momentum.
3. Horizon (Future State Design) A strategic visualization of the client's next professional chapter. This pillar focuses on scenario planning, defining what "great" looks like over the next 12 to 24 months, and safely testing future career options and pathways.
4. JourneyKit (Resource & Strengths Allocation) The assembly of a practical, personalized toolkit for execution. This pillar focuses on identifying core strengths, establishing boundaries, forming positive habits, and utilizing tools like Force Field Analysis to build resilience for the road ahead.
Who is this for?
The JourneyKit methodology is designed for senior leaders in technology, SaaS, Product Management, and UX Design. However the framework is highly applicable for all professionals who are:
Scaling Up: Stepping into larger executive roles or seeking promotion.
Managing Disruption: Leading teams through acquisitions, reorganisations, or AI-driven industry transformations.
Pivoting: Considering a strategic shift in role, company, or career trajectory.
Resetting: Recovering from redundancy, burnout, or a difficult professional chapter.
